Power Cords
Unlike other shielded upgrade power cords, Wireworld power conditioning cords were developed through direct comparisons to battery power, the ultimate in sonic and visual purity. Their exclusive Fluxfield design features 24 insulated wires coiled around flat inner cores to maximize inductive and capacitive filtering. Twin high-density shields prevent noise from entering or radiating outward. Elegant plugs with silver-clad contacts provide the quietest and lowest loss connections available. These unique elements minimize noise and line resonances, especially with longer lengths, so we recommend two meters or more for the best performance. The flat, flexible design coils effortlessly for easy handling.
Power conditioning is considered essential in recording and post production studios, yet most power cords are still unshielded and other power line noise problems remain. For example, harmonics of the power frequency, which are sometimes severe enough to make transformers hum, usually show up as ripples in the DC output of component power supplies, resulting in compressed and muddy sound. The Fluxfield design of Wireworld power cords minimizes these problems to provide distinctly cleaner and more dynamic sound and video. Amazingly, even humming transformers become quieter.
